Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This page explains what personal information Common Ground collects through this website, why, and what choices you have about it. This is a plain-language summary, not a substitute for legal advice — if you're relying on this page for real compliance purposes, have it reviewed by a lawyer familiar with data protection law in your jurisdiction (e.g. the GDPR, if you operate in or serve people in the EU/EEA).
What we collect
- If you browse the site: no personal data is collected beyond standard, aggregated analytics (see "Analytics" below).
- If you request a session: the name, email, and message you submit through the booking form.
- If you're a counselor with a profile: your name, email, bio, specialties, location, languages, session details, and photo, all of which you provide and control yourself through your dashboard.
- If you request access as a counselor: the name, email, and message you submit on the access-request form.
How we use it
- Booking form submissions are used solely to respond to your request for a session.
- Counselor profile data is displayed publicly on the site, exactly as the counselor enters it, once approved.
- Access requests are reviewed manually before any account is created.
Where it's stored
Profile and account data is stored with Supabase, our database provider. Booking form submissions are processed by Netlify Forms. Both are third-party services with their own security practices and privacy policies.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand overall visitor traffic (e.g. how many people visit, which pages are popular). This does not identify you individually. Google's own privacy policy governs how this data is handled on their end.
Your rights
- Counselors can view, edit, or permanently delete their own profile at any time through their dashboard.
- Anyone can request a copy of, or deletion of, any personal data we hold about them by contacting us (see below).
Cookies
This site uses minimal cookies/local storage: one to remember your analytics consent choice, and Supabase's own session cookie if you're logged in as a counselor. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests to access/delete your data, can be sent to the contact email listed on our homepage.
